Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein

(March 14, 1879- April 18, 1955)

Full Name :-  Albert Hermann Einstein

Albert Einstein developed the theory of relativity.

Albert Einstein was a German physicist. He received the 1921 Nobel prize in physics “ for his services to theoretical physics and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect”.

Einstein’s Childhood :-

Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, in the Kingdom of Wurttembrg in the German Empire, on 14 March 1879. His father was Hermann Einstein and mother was Pauline Koch. His father was a salesman and engineer by profession.

Albert Einstein attended a Catholic Elementary School in Munich from age of 5years for 3years.

Einstein was excellent in Math and Physics from a young age. At the age of 12 Einstein independently discovered his own original proof of the Pythagorean Theorem.

At age of 16, in 1895 Einstein took the entrance examination for the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School.

Academic Career :-

In 1908, he was a recognized as a leading scientist and appointed at the University of Bern. The following year, after he gave a lecture on electrodynamics and relativity principle at the University of Zurich.

Einstein became a full professor at German Charles-Ferdinand University in Prague in April 1911.

In 1916, Einstein was elected president of the German Physical Society. In 1911 Einstein had made his new theory of general relativity, light from another star should be bent by the Sun’s gravity. In 1919, that prediction was conformed by Sir Arthur Eddington during the solar eclipse of 29 May 1919.

In 1920, Einstein became a foreign member of Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. In 1922, he was awarded by Nobel Prize in Physics “for his services to Theoretical Physics and especially for his discovery of the Law of the Photoelectric Effect”.

Scientific Achievement :- (Scientific Researches)

·   Thermodynamic Fluctuations and Statistical  Physics : Einstein’s first paper submitted in 1900 to Annalen der Physik was on capillary attraction.

·   Theory of Critical Opalescence : Einstein returned to the problem of thermodynamics fluctuations, giving a treatment of the density variations in a fluid at its critical point.

· General  Relativity : general  relativity is a theory of gravitation that was developed by Einstein between 1907 and 1915. According to general relativity, the observed
